The tree is abundantly covered with small creamy-white flowers in the flowering season, followed by purple berries 1 cm in diameter, which when ripe in autumn are both fragrant and edible.
Beautiful wood, best suited to Mediterranean climates, USDA zones 9 and above, winter-resistant -12c.
