🍃 Tomato 'Black Plum' is a robust Russian variety known for extremely heavy yields of elongated, plum-shaped fruits with a deep chestnut-red to green-flambéed shoulders. Each fruit grows around 8 cm (3 in) and has a complex, smoky-sweet flavor, perfect for fresh eating, sauces, paste, or drying. Indeterminate plants mature in 75–82 days and perform well in greenhouses or outdoors in full sun.

Sowing: 3 mm (1/8 in) deep in seed-starting compost; germinates 5–10 days at 21–27 °C (70–80 °F)
Transplanting: Into 20 cm (4 in) pots once first true leaves develop; harden off 2–3 weeks before planting outdoors
Planting: 45 cm (18 in) apart, full sun, with stakes 1.2 m (4 ft) tall; tie main stems loosely to allow growth
Soil: Rich, well-draining, high organic matter
Watering & Fertilizing: Keep soil consistently moist; feed with potash-rich fertiliser when fruits form; nitrogen-based feed in September
