A small and wonderful Jaltomata, native to a tiny area in northwestern Peru. It produces little orange berries, reminiscent of a ground cherry or small cape gooseberry.

The fruits and flowers are quite colorful. Naturally grows at mid to high elevation, mountain slopes, up to 3000 m. Small perennial or annual to only 1 m tall.
The fruits are about 3cm, sweet, edible, orange berries reminiscent of cherry tomatoes. Their nectar is an unusual bright red. Closely related to Solanum.
