Tomato Radana (Lycopersicon esculentum) is a variety intended for the medium-early harvest that produces cocktail-type, pear-shaped fruit. This sweet and juicy cherry tomato is highly prolific. The plants strong and indeterminate growth. It is recommended for cultivation in the field, but it may also be planted in large containers on balconies and terraces.
Tomato Radana develops small tomatoes whose weight does not exceed 15 - 20 g in numerous, large bunches. These tomatoes stand out with an intriguing pear-like shape and intense, red color.
The rich taste and thin, almost unnoticeable peel are other assets of this variety. They have high nutritional value, vitamins C, B1, B2, provitamin A, and minerals. The fruit may serve as garnish and addition to sandwiches and salads.
Companion planting: Try growing tomatoes with French marigolds to deter whitefly, and basil, chives or mint to deter aphids and other pests.
